By Stacie DelaCuesta

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) Fort Wayne District announces that SR 5 is scheduled for a closure beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, June 13, 2011, so crews may replace a drainage structure.
The detour follows SR 109 and US 33. It adds about seven miles for through traffic. The project is expected to be complete by early August, weather permitting.
The project was awarded to Whitley County-based R.L. McCoy for the low bid of $413,000. The exact location is 4.5 miles north of US 30.
