Blue River Bridge on US 33 noted among upcoming INDOT projects

The Indiana Department of Transportation announces that bridge maintenance will begin on three bridges in Noble, Wabash and Whitley counties on or after Monday, May 8. Projects will include:
- S.R. 9 over West End Sylvan Lake in Noble County, 3.14 miles north of U.S. 6. Work will include bridge deck and jount repair and traffic will be directed by flaggers.
- S.R. 13 over Bear Grass Creek in Wabash County, 1.35 miles north of S.R. 16. Work will include bridge deck and joint repair with traffic directed by flaggers.
- U.S. 33 over Blue River in Whitley County, 3.57 miles north of S.R. 205. Work will include bridge deck and joint repair with traffic directed by flaggers.
Work on the bridges is expected to be complete by late-May, weather permitting. Additional work on this contract will take place on various bridges throughout the Fort Wayne District. The combined contract was awarded to Pioneer and Associates for $1.1 million.
