INDOT plans closure along SR 114

The Indiana Department of Transportation announces that bridge maintenance is scheduled for S.R. 114 in Whitley County. SR 114 is expected to close on or after Monday, August 7, weather permitting.
The closure is scheduled to take place over Calf Creek, located between South Raber Road and CR 400 E in Whitley County. Access to homes and businesses will be maintained throughout the work. The official state detour for the closure will be SR 5 to US 24 to SR 114. The road may be closed up to 35 calendar days during the work.
Work on the bridge is expected to be complete by early September, weather permitting. Additional work on this contract is taking place on another bridge on SR 114, just west of SR 9. The combined contract was awarded to Brooks Construction for $771,000.
