South Whitley Community Public Library entrance gets a makeover

From reports

Plans are moving forward to remodel the front entrance, patio, and walkway at the South Whitley Community Public Library.
The project will change the current single entrance to a double entrance. The outside doors will be replaced with sliding doors. Interior sliding doors will be added to create a vestibule area that includes the current display case and coatrack.
This front entrance will help with heating and cooling costs and complies with ADA guidelines.
To also improve handicap accessibility, the project will create a ramp that leads from the street to the library entrance.
At the same time, the patio area will have the short brick walls removed and replaced. The current benches attached to those walls will also be removed. Other seating options for the patio area are being considered.
D-T Construction Service will be in charge of the project and has ordered the doors. Completion of the project is dependent upon the weather.
