Article provided

The annual National Day of Prayer 5K will take place on April 28, 2018, starting at The Center for Whitley County in downtown Columbia City beginning at 9 a.m.

The goal for the event is to raise money that will be used to give back to the community through The Center and its various programs, raise awareness of National Day of Prayer events in the community and raise prayers for the community. Go to https:// creativetimingsolutions. redpodium.com/2017-national- day-of-prayer-5k to register. Registration fees are $20 until April 13 and $25 per person from then until race day.  New this year -- pet registration for $10.

"If you can walk, run, or pray, this event is for you! You don't have to be a runner to enjoy this event - you can walk the course with friends and family as well. This is a great opportunity to step out of your busy schedule and pray for the world around you, the people in your life, and those who don't get the opportunity to pray openly in their own country," added an event volunteer. "If you don't join us on April 28, please take the time to pray where ever you are, even now!"
