INDOT identifies project on SR 5

The Indiana Department of Transportation announces that a small structure replacement is scheduled for S.R. 5 in Whitley County. S.R. 5 and began this week.
The closure is scheduled to take place over the Williamson Ditch, located between C.R. W 800 S and C.R. S 600 W in Whitley County. Access to homes and businesses will be maintained throughout the work. The official state detour for the closure will be SR 14 to SR 105 to SR 114. The road may be closed up to 45 calendar days during the work.
The contract was awarded to 3D Company for $207,000 and the road is expected to reopen completely by mid-November, weather permitting.
