Master Gardeners' upcoming program aimed at better understanding of meeting protocol

From reports

The Whitley County Master Gardeners will be holding their next monthly meeting on October 4, 2018, beginning at 7:15 p.m. in lower level Classroom B at Parkview Whitley Hospital in Columbia City. The public is welcome to attend.
During this meeting, the Whitley County Master Gardeners will have a seminar on Robert Rules of Order.
In 1876, General Henry Robert rewrote rules after Thomas Jefferson's suggestions were deemed too complex for the average citizen. He wrote a set of rules based loosely on the practices of Congress and adapted it for organized societies. Today, Roberts Rules of Order are practiced around the world.
An understanding of Roberts Rules of Order is important for both those leading a meeting and those in attendance to reduce misunderstanding and allow proper people to provide input to discussions and votes.
This educational moment will be presented by John Woodmansee of the Purdue Extension office in Columbia City.
