Peabody Public Library declares winners in 'Battle of the Books'

Peabody Public library welcomed 168 players and nearly 200 spectators last Saturday, March 23 for the 2019 Annual Battle of the Books event! Battle of the Books is an academic competition in which teams are questioned on their general knowledge of six books from different genres. The competition was open to area students-public, private and homeschool, and was open to students in grades 3rd through 12th. "We hope everyone had a great time at our fifth annual Battle of the Books event. A big thanks to everyone who participated and to those who came out the watch the competition," said Peabody Public Library Youth Services Librarian Mary Graber.
