The Whitley County Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center invites the community to join in celebrating the non-profit organization's 100th anniversary of service to the people, the businesses and organizations of Whitley County.

A free community celebration will be held this Friday, August 23 from 6 to 9 p.m. in downtown Columbia City. Activities will begin with a Chamber Ribbon Cutting Ceremony shortly after 6 p.m., followed by formal proclamations and remarks. All are invited to attend.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy jazz music on the courthouse lawn beginning at 7 p.m. when the Fort Wayne Jazz Orchestra performs.

Chamber member booths will line Van Buren Street, offering games, activities, shopping and great dining options for visitors to enjoy. Additionally, many downtown businesses will be open and offering specials for the evening as well.

The event is made possible with the generous support of sponsors, including Big G's Sports Cafe, 3Rivers Federal Credit Union, STAR Financial Bank, Morsches Builders Mart, Fort Wayne Metals, Northeastern REMC and the City of Columbia City.
