Freida Blanche Fleck, 95

Freida Blanche Fleck, 95, of Columbia City, IN passed away at 9:20 p.m. Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Miller's Merry Manor Inc., Columbia City.  Born on July 5, 1915 in Columbia Township, Whitley County, she was the daughter of Charles Grover and Estella Mae (Crawford) Wynkoop.
She has been a lifelong resident of Columbia City graduating from Columbia City High School with the Class of 1933. On June 26, 1937 she married Raymond Franklin Fleck in Columbia City, where she spent 45 years in the same house on North Main Street.  She was a homemaker, and at one time was secretary for DeKalb Seed Corn and worked in the office of Blue Bell, Columbia City, for 17 years.  
She was a member of the First Church of God since age 14 and currently attended Columbia City United Methodist Church and was a past member of the Fidelity Club.
Always an avid reader, she served on library committees; as a den mother; dedicated IU fan and also participated in several bridge groups over the years.
Survivors include her 2 sons, Richard Grover (Joyce) Fleck of Columbus and Mayor James Raymond (Kay M.) Fleck of Columbia City; 4 grandchildren, The Rev. Timothy (Robert Schmeler) Fleck, Lexington, KY, Bradford Fleck, Columbus, The Rev. Paul (Renate) Fleck, New Haven, CT, Heather (Neil) Wohlford-Fleck, Arlington, VA; 2 great-grandchildren, Daniel Fleck and Carys Wohlford.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond Franklin Fleck, 4 sisters, Gwen M. Schwiebert, Edna L. Bowen, Gladys Orr and Vera M. Wheeler.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2010 from 3-7:00 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City.  Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 3, 2010 at the funeral home. Those officiating will be Pastor David Arnold, The Rev. Timothy Fleck, The Rev. Paul Fleck and Heather Fleck. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery, Columbia City.
Memorial gifts may be given in  Mrs. Fleck's memory to Columbia City United Methodist Church or First Church of God Building Funds or Passages, Inc. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Karla K. Coyle-Kammeyer, 45

Karla K. Coyle-Kammeyer, 45, of Fort Wayne passed away at 10 p.m. Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.  
Born November 16, 1964 in Columbia City, she was the daughter of Kay L. and Yvonne "Bonnie" (Newsome) Coyle.
Raised in Columbia City, she graduated with the Class of 1983 from Columbia City High School.
For the past 20 years, she resided in Fort Wayne. She was formerly employed by Casual Corner, Betty's Smart Shop, later owning and operating The Smart Shop from 1990-1996, and Casual Male Big & Tall in Fort Wayne from 2000 2007. She was most recently employed by Fort Financial Credit Union, Fort Wayne.
Survivors include her parents, Kay and Bonnie Coyle of Columbia City; fiancee, Mark Harris of Fort Wayne; step-son, Ian Harris of Fort Wayne; nephews, Jason and Jeremy Shoda both of Columbia City; and four great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Sharon Shoda.
Visitation is 1-3 p.m. with funeral service at 4 p.m. on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Sharon Brockhaus, certified funeral celebrant will officiate. Entombment at South Park Annex Cemetery, Columbia City.

Mildred "Millie" Earlene Bradbury, 55

Mildred "Millie" Earlene Bradbury, 55, of Columbia City passed away at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 23, 2010 at her residence.  
Born on June 16, 1955 in Columbia City, she was the daughter of Earl Jay Graves and Barbara Lou (Herron) Sanderson.
She was a liftetime resident of Columbia City and graduated from Columbia City Joint High School with the Class of 1973.  On December 12, 1986 she married John Wayne Bradbury at Etna United Methodist Church.  She worked at Group Dekko, Inc., North Webster for 36 years as a server/operator. Her hobbies were crocheting, camping and horseback riding.
Survivors include her husband, John Wayne Bradbury of Columbia City; mother, Barbara Lou (Herron) Sanderson of Fort Wayne; son, Mike (Tiffany) Jones of Whitley County; daughter, Melinda Jones of Fort Wayne; brothers and sisters, Diane (Bernard) Squires of Columbia City, Byron "Buck" (Flo) Graves of Avilla, Faith Ann (Tim) Metz of Cromwell, Ramon (Denise) Sanderson of Briceton, OH and Steve (Sandy) Sanderson of Bower, IL; grandchildren, Abby Jones and TJ Jones of Whitley County, Hayden Meyer of Columbia City and Olivia West of Fort Wayne and mother-in-law, Sandra D. May of Goshen.  She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Jay Graves, step-father, Ramon Sanderson, sister, Evelyn Jewell, brother, Theodore Sanderson and grandparents, Dewey and Mildred Herron.

Walter Burdette Crampton, Jr., 84

Walter Burdette Crampton, Jr., 84, of Columbia City, IN passed away at 8:00 p.m. Sunday, August 22, 2010 at his residence.
Born August 24, 1925 in Eaton, Delaware County, IN he was the son of Walter B. and Vera B. (Andrews) Crampton.          
Since the age of 11, he has spent his life in the Tri-Lakes, Columbia City, area.  He graduated from Columbia City High School, attended Wabash College for 2 years and Purdue University for 2 years.  He served in the United States Army National Guard for 32 years.  On October 26, 1944, he married Dorothy M. Crampton in Covington, KY.  He retired in 1991 as an electronic technician at the former Magnavox Company, Fort Wayne.  He was a member of the Tri-Lakes Baptist Church and former member of the Columbia City Rotary Club.
Survivors include his 5 children, Ken (Dorie) Crampton of Columbia City; Treasa Crampton of Columbia City; Noreen (Glen) Kemery of Playa Del Rey, CA; Dennis (Fran) Crampton of San Diego, CA; Dr. Michael (Nancy) Crampton of Columbia City; 2 sisters, Lucinda (Bruce) Rex and Barbara Miller both of Columbia City; 2 brothers, Lloyd (Judy) Crampton of Grand Marie, MI; John Crampton of Columbia City; 14 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy M. Crampton and brothers, Keith and Richard Crampton.
Visitation is Wednesday, August 25, 2010 from 4-7 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City.  Funeral service will immediately follow visitation at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Deanna Marie Wagner, 37

Due to injuries she sustained in an ATV accident, Deanna Marie Wagner, 37, of Columbia City, passed away at 6:34 p.m. Saturday, August 21, 2010 at Monroe Hospital, Bloomington, IN.
Born August 12, 1973 in Auburn, IN she was the daughter of Fredrick J. and Sherry Lindell (Williams) Harroff.
She attended Columbia City High School and Cornerstone Christian Schools. Raised in Churubusco and a current Whitley County resident, she was a homemaker.
Survivors include her parents, Fredrick and Sherry Harroff of Columbia City; daughters, Hope Ann and Faith Lynn Wagner both of Columbia City; sisters, Kimberley (Garry) Gorsuch of Albion and Roberta (Dean) Wort of Hicksville, OH; maternal grandmother, Phyllis Walerstein of Columbia City; 6 nieces and nephews; and fiance, Neil Carpenter of Columbia City.
She was preceded in death by twin sons, Matthew & Anthony Wagner.
Visitation is Thursday, August 26, 2010 from 4-7 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Drive, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. At the family's request, there will be no funeral service.  Memorials may be given in memory of Deanna to the Wagner Children's Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Ralph McKibben, 85

Ralph McKibben, 85, of Fort Wayne, died at 1:45 a.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2010 peacefully at his home with family beside him.
He was born December 13, 1924 in McConnelsville, Ohio a son of Addison Edward and Alma (Fitch) McKibben.
Ralph served in England and Germany with the United States Army from 1943 until 1946. After his discharge, he came to Fort Wayne where he worked for the bus service and drove some of the original trolleys in Fort Wayne.
On October 22, 1949 he was united in marriage to Bonnie Kile. They always made their home in Fort Wayne. Mrs. McKibben died December 16, 2009. Click here to view her obituary.
He later worked in the insurance business and worked at various agencies throughout the years, retiring from Epco Insurance. His kindness and compassion for people made the insurance business a perfect profession for him. His clients knew they could call him day or night in an emergency and he was able to comfort them.
A charter member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, his hobbies included golf, Cubs baseball and telling a good joke.
Surviving relatives include three children, Marsha (Jim) Wulpi, Lisa Schwaberow and Mark (Karen) McKibben; nine grandchildren, Ryan (Jennifer) Wulpi, Ben, Alex & Logan Wulpi, Dan, Olivia & Levi Schwaberow and Dustin & Chance McKibben; a sister, Goldie (David) Ross; and a sister-in-law, Pat Little, all of Fort Wayne.
In addition to his wife of 60 years, he was preceded in death by his oldest daughter, Linda McKibben, on March 21, 2008.
The service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 4700 Vance Avenue, Fort Wayne with one hour of visitation prior to the service. The entombment will be in Concordia Cemetery. The visitation will also be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Preferred memorials are to Good Shepherd United Methodist Church or Parkview Home Health & Hospice.
