Helen Louise Fugate, 83, passed away Friday, March 7, 2008 at Parkview Whitley Hospital in Columbia City.
Born in Roann, she was employed with Atz for 15 years, waitress at Azar's for several years and worked in the cafeteria with Aramark Food Services for 15 years, retiring in 2005. She graduated from Chippawa High School in Wabash. She attended the Church of the Nazarene in Columbia City.
She enjoyed NASCAR and was an avid fan. She loved to travel hundreds of miles to attend country music concerts.
Survivors include sons, Larry (Dawn) Moyer of Brandon, Florida, Arnie (Jennifer) Fugate of Richey, Florida; daughter, Karna (Joe) Heck of Columbia City; step-son, Ronnie (Fran) Lowe of Vanwert, Ohio; 9 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; and sister, Debbie Ann in 1955.
Service is 10 a.m. Wednesday at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue with calling one hour prior, Thomas Beers officiating. Calling is also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery.
