Mary Jane Pepple, 90, of Tucson, Arizona, died at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2008 at the Villa Maria Care Center in Tucson where she had been a resident since November 17, 2002.
She was born February 26, 1918 in Aboite Township, Allen County, Indiana a daughter of Andrew J. and Sadie (McMillen) Coleman. As a teenager, her family moved to Eel River Township, Allen County. She graduated from the Eel River – Perry High School.
On November 25, 1937 she was united in marriage to Lloyd A. Pepple. They made their home in Eel River Township until 1960 when they moved to Columbia City. Following the death of Mr. Pepple on September 10, 1982, Mary Jane moved to Tucson.
She was a former charter member of Columbia City Church of the Brethren and had attended Desert Dove Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Tucson.
Surviving relatives include a son, S. Gene (Mary) Pepple of Columbia City; three daughters, Roselyn (John) Marsh of Tucson, Arizona, Margaret (Dean) Miller of Columbia City and Cathy Pepple of Tucson, Arizona; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Hubert Coleman, Ralph Coleman and Harold Coleman.
