Alexis Raegan Avila, age 3, of Pierceton , died at 1:32 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2008 at Kosciusko Community Hospital , Warsaw.

Born in Fort Wayne on January 8, 2005, she was the daughter of Troy E. and Paulette R. (Fisher) Avila .

She lived with her family in Wolcottville until July of 2007 when they moved to Pierceton.

During Alexis' brief time here on earth, she brought joy to many, and was especially close to her older sister, Danielle. She loved to play with crayons, ride her bicycle, swing and play with matchbox cars.

Survivors include her parents, Troy and Paulette Avila, Pierceton; sisters, Danielle and Madison Avila of Pierceton; maternal grandfather, Ray Fisher, Pierceton; maternal grandmother, Tammie Wrisk, Columbia City; paternal grandfather, Joe Avila, Fort Wayne; paternal grandmother, Loretta Avila, Ligonier; great-grandfather, Gerald Hites, Kenton, Ohio; great-grandmother, Jeraldine Woods, Yoder; as well as three uncles and an aunt.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 from 2-8 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, IN. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2008 with visitation one hour prior at the funeral home with Pastor JP Freeman of North Manchester Congregational Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow at South Whitley Cemetery, South Whitley. 

Memorial bequests may be given to the family c/o DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
