Rebecca Jo Gable, 64, a resident of Columbia City, died Thursday, April 10, 2008 at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne where she was admitted on Tuesday.
She was born March 19, 1944 in Fort Wayne, Indiana a daughter of Delmar and Ethel (Miller) Gable. Her formative years were spent in South Whitley. She completed her education at South Whitley High School.
She was a private duty nurse’s aide for many years and a former member of South Whitley United Methodist Church.
Surviving relatives include a brother, L. DeWayne Gable of South Whitley and a sister, Wanda Hubbard of Louisville, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Carroll Gable.
There will be no visitation or service. The burial will take place at a later date at South Whitley Cemetery.
