Jane A. Harman

Jane A. Harman, 84, of Etna Green, died at 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2008, at her home.
A daughter of Clarence R. and Mary E. (Varier) Slough, she was born on March 6, 1924.
She was a 1942 graduate of Etna Green High School and lived in the Etna Green area for most of her life.
On April 9, 1944, she married Lyal Harman. He survives.
Mrs. Harman was a homemaker and a farmer’s wife. She enjoyed reading cookbooks and cooking. She was a member of the Warsaw congregation of Jehovah’s Witness.
She is survived by her husband, Lyal; three children, including David R. Harman of Etna Green; Rachel M. (Gary) Boggs of Columbia City and Daniel Harman of Etna Green; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and a sister JoHannah Gard of Bourbon.
A funeral service to celebrate her life is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon, with Elder Ramon Salazar officiating. Burial is at Etna Green Cemetery.
The family requests any memorial contributions be directed to Marshall County Hospice in her memory.
