Bryan L. Truman, 58

Bryan L. Truman, 58, of Syracuse died at 6:56 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2008 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.
He was born on July 20, 1949 in Fort Wayne  to James L. & Elizabeth (Harvey) Truman.
He graduated in 1968 from Columbia City High School and attended Eastfield Community College in Mesquite, Texas.
He grew up in Whitley County, moved to Texas in 1983 and then returned to the Syracuse area in 2002 from Dallas, Texas. On September 29, 1984 in Wylie, Texas, he married Margaret S. Edgil, who survives.
He was a self-employed truck driver and certified welder. He was a member of the Red Zone Christian Church in Enchanted Hills and the American Legion Post 253 in North Webster. He was a Vietnam Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Truman of Syracuse; a daughter, Heather (Charles) Rush of Syracuse; two sons – Brandon (Dawn) Truman of Cromwell and Bryce Truman of Syracuse; seven grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother and step-father, Betty & Robert Zumbrun of Columbia City; a brother – Barry A. (Kathy) Truman of Columbia City; two nephews & a niece
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2008, at the Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 23, 2008 at the funeral home with Tim Stiffler of the church officiating. Burial will follow in the Syracuse Cemetery with full military graveside rites performed by the American Legion Post 253.
Memorial bequest may be given to the Bryan L. Truman
Memorial Fund for funeral expenses, c/o Owen Family Funeral Home. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
