Charles D. Wilson, 40
Charles D. Wilson, 40, a resident of Richland Township, Whitley County, died at 8:55 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2008. 
He was born May 26, 1967 in Fort Wayne, Indiana a son of Ronald Daniel and Marlyn E. (Calumba) Wilson. His formative years were spent in Fort Wayne. He graduated from Columbia City Joint High School and continued his education at IPFW.
On October 16, 1986 he was united in marriage to Sarée A. Groce. They made their first home in Washington Township and have always made their home in Whitley County. They moved to their present home in 1992.
He was employed at Indiana State Highway Department, Hurd’s Auto Repair, Furrows Lumber Company, Blue Flame and currently for G & K Well Drilling.
His memberships include New Hope Wesleyan Church.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Sarée; two children, Ronald Daniel Wilson and Ashlee Adele Wilson, both of Columbia City; his mother and step father, Marlyn & Gary Flowers of South Whitley; three brothers, Bill DeHaven of Fort Wayne, Paul DeHaven of Greensburg and Tom DeHaven of Fort Wayne; a sister, Patty Parrish of Fort Wayne; and his father-in-law, William J. Groce of Columbia City.
He was preceded in death by his father; step-mother, Virginia Wilson; and a brother, Max DeHaven, Jr.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2008 at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City with Rev. Barry Faucett, pastor of New Hope Wesleyan Church, officiating. The burial will be in South Whitley Cemetery. The visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
