Jeanette Manns, age 68, of Rock Hill, South Carolina, passed away at 1:40 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2008 at Harris Hospice Unit, Charlotte, North Carolina.
Born on July 7, 1939, in Drift, Kentucky, she was the youngest daughter of Caloway and Fannie Jane (Hollon) King. She attended Churubusco High School in Churubusco. 
She was married to DeWayne Manns on September 8, 1956, in Huntertown.
She was a homemaker and beautician, owning the Manns Neighborhood Salon in Columbia City.
She first lived in the Columbia City and Collins area moving to Churubusco in 1976, residing there until moving to her present home in Rock Hill, South Carolina in 1993.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, DeWayne Manns, of Rock Hill, South Carolina; six children including, Cheryl (Chris) Nicholson, Indianapolis, Sherry (Richard) King, Churubusco, Dallas (Cheryl) Manns, Rock Hill, South Carolina, Laura (Weston) Crawford, Rock Hill, South Carolina, Marcee (James) Smith, Rock Hill, South Carolina and Michael (Leigh) Manns, Charlotte, North Carolina; nine grandchildren, including , Aimee (Ryan) Fleming, Tara Nicholson,
Jessica Nicholson, Nick Nicholson, Daphne King, Melinda (Kevin) Love, Madison Crawford, Tyler Smith and Andrew Manns; five great-grandchildren including, Catherine Elizabeth Fleming, Sierra King, Alexis Guise, Brock Love and Makayla Love and two sisters, Geneva Combs of Viper, Kentucky and Marcelline Freeman of Auxier, Kentucky.
She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, George W., Richard and Troy King and a sister, Hazel Hunter.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, Columbia City, IN. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at the funeral home with Pastor Paul Barnett of the Harvest Free Will Baptist Church, Fort Wayne, officiating.
Burial will follow at Blue River Community Cemetery, Thorncreek Township, Whitley County.
Memorial bequests may be given in memory to the American Heart/Stroke Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

I read the newspaper on Wed. night and saw that your wife and mother had passed away. Just want to let you know how sorry we are for your family. I called Tim and Amy and let them know too. We would have been to the funeral home had we known. Your former neighbors on 300 N.
