LeRoy Douglas Stetzel, Sr., 79 of Huntington, passed away Wednesday April 30 at 2:45 a.m. at North Ridge Village Nursing & Rehab Center in Albion. 
He had been an inspector at Dana for over 30 years, retiring in 1981. He belonged to the UAW, and played softball for 30 years, primarily as a pitcher.
He was born August 18, 1928 in Roanoke to William Dale and Berniece (Rupert) Stetzel. He married Anna Garrison in Peru and she preceded him in death in April 1960. He is survived by four daughters Deanna Stetzel (Betty Clayton) of Albion, Sheila & Carnus Ratliff of Vaucaville, California, Cynthia & David Fairchild of Roanoke, Laurie & John Buchanan of Dorr, Michigan, three sons LeRoy Stetzel Jr. of Huntington, Stephen & Deborah Stetzel of Waynedale, Gary Stetzel of Huntington, a brother Allen & Dorothy Stetzel and, 3 sisters Eloise & Leland Beck of Roanoke, Dorothy Souers, Nancy Buckingham both of Huntington and, sister-in-law Ruth Stetzel of Columbia City, 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded by a brother Earl Wayne.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Preferred memorials are to Parkview Columbia City Hospice or Pleasant Chapel United Methodist Church c/o Deal-Rice Funeral Home, 338 E. Washington St., Huntington, IN 46750
