Crystal L. Hawkins Dunn, of Fort Wayne, passed away Friday, May 30, 2008, at her home.

Born in Grant County, she taught high school English and Mathematics for 30 years, retiring from Whitko Community Schools.

She was a charter member of Westview Alliance Church, taught Sunday School, and was involved in the Women's Missionary Organization.

She graduated from Taylor University and attended Ball State, University of Colorado, and Case Institute of Technology.

Survivors include husband, C. William Dunn of Fort Wayne; daughters, Miriam (Malcom) Rose of Fort Wayne and Marcia (Clarence) Walker of Toccoa, Georgia.; grandchildren, Debra Walker of Gabon, Africa, Stan (Jaynee) Walker of Senegal, Africa, Lauralyn (Al) Stombaugh, Cynthia (Brannon) Hulsey and Stephanie (Herschel) Holloway, all of Toccoa, Georgia., Dawn Rose of Fort Wayne, Amie (Joshua) Hollmann of Montreal, Quebec, Canada and David (Melissa) Rose of Fort Wayne; and great-grandchildren, including Joshua, Kayla, Alexis, London, and Elijah.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Jennie (Blinn) Hawkins; and five sisters.

A service was held Tuesday, June 3, at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 

Fort Wayne.

 Burial was in Lindenwood Cemetery.
