Donna J. Wagoner, age 81, of Fort Wayne and formerly of Columbia City, passed away at 7:05 a.m. on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.

Born in Jefferson Township, Columbia City, on July 26, 1926, she was the daughter of Guy E. and Merle D. (Putman) Wagoner.

In 1997, she moved from Whitley County to Fort Wayne. She graduated from Jefferson Center High School with the Class of 1944.

On July 30, 1947, she married Hugh D. Sheets in Fort Wayne.

She worked at Timbercrest Truck Stop as a cook for 10 years and Oak Hill Campground, Angola, IN for 8 years.

She was a member of Carroll Road Christian Church, Fort Wayne.

Survivors include her daughter, Cammy (Tom) Barkley of Fort Wayne; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Wagoner Hawkins and Mildred Wagoner both of Columbia City; seven grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Hugh D. Sheets, a son, Roger Sheets, brothers, Carl, Delmar and Darrell Wagoner.

Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2008 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home,

600 Countryside Drive, Columbia

City. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 6, 2008 at Saturn Christian Church, 6731 E. 800 S., Columbia City, IN with Pastor Russell Riley officiating. Burial will follow at Jefferson Chapel (Sand Bank) Cemetery, Columbia City.

Memorials may be given in memory of Mrs. Wagoner to the Saturn Christian Church, Carroll Christian Church or Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
