Deborah L. Ivy, age 53, of Columbia City passed away at her home at 11:12 a.m. Thursday, July 31, 2008. 
Born on January 26, 1955 in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of Roy H. and Mildred (Bush) Collier.
A lifetime Columbia City resident, she attended Columbia City Joint High School. Ms. Ivy worked at Village Cleaners and Lee's Inn both of Columbia City and Dekko for 13 years in South Whitley. She was a member of the Columbia City Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include her sons, Joseph Eric Ivy of Columbia City and Fred Eugene Ivy of South Whitley; her parents, Roy H. and Mildred "Midge" Collier of Larwill; grandchildren, Felicia Osbourne, Chandler Ivy, Brett Ruckman, Draven Ivy, Atheena Ivy and Syrus Ivy; sisters, Brenda Duty of Pierceton, IN and Karen Brandel of Columbia City; a brother, Glen Collier of Columbia City.
A brother, Robert Lee Collier, preceded her in death.
Visitation is 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Sunday, August 3, 2008 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, ColumbiaCity. A funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, August 4, 2008 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
Memorials may be given in memory of Ms. Ivy to the American Cancer Society for cancer research. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
