Dorothy M. (Johnson) Schinbeckler, 89, died Thursday, August 07, 2008 at St. Anne Home in Fort Wayne.
Born in Fort Wayne, she retired from General Electric Company for 33 years, retiring in 1983. She was a member of North Christian Church, G.E. Quarter Century Club and the Partizan Chapter of the G.E. Elex Club.
Survivors include sons, Steven D. Johnson of New Haven, and Keith E. (Karen) Johnson of Fort Wayne; daughters, Patricia G. (Richard) (Ritter) Jennings of New Haven, and Rebecca A. (Art) Lee of Fort Wayne; step-son, David (Mary) Schinbeckler of Wisconsin; step-daughter, Sidney (Steve) Campbell of Columbia City; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Catherine E. Parkins of Fort Wayne.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frederic S. Johnson; second husband, Robert L. Schinbeckler; granddaughters, Ann and Cindy Ritter; daughter-in-law, Sandra Johnson; son-in-law, Gerald Ritter.
A service was held Monday with Rev. Peggy Edge officiating. Burial was in Covington Memorial Gardens.
