Larry L. Shenfeld, Sr., 73, of Woodburn, passed away Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008, at his home.
Born May 15, 1935, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Chester and Grace Shenfeld.
He was a U.S. Army Paratrooper in the Korean War Conflict.
He worked at Schenkle Construction and Martin Enterprise for several years, retiring in 1983.
Survivors include son, Larry (Paula) Shenfeld Jr.; brother, Frank (Marilyn) Shenfeld of Columbia City; twin brother, Jerry (Mary) Shenfeld of Fort Wayne; brother, Chester Shenfeld of Wabash; sisters, Willimette Clark and Betty Pietzack, both of Fort Wayne; sister-in-law, Norma Shenfeld of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Kalan, Kaz and Kierra Shenfeld; great-grandchildren, Ayriana and Kenyon Kyler; and his former wife, Esther Rumpff of Woodburn.
He was preceded in death by brother, Dick.
Service is 2 p.m. Thursday, with calling from noon to 2 p.m., at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave.Burial in Harlan Memorial Cemetery. Memorials to V.A. Medical Center of Fort Wayne.
