Sandra Lee Miller, 62, of Kimmell, died Saturday, August 23, 2008 at her home. She had been in failing health.
She was born December 3, 1945, in Niles, Michigan a daughter of Gerald Harrison and Harriet (Hargreaves) George. Her formative years were spent in Niles where she completed her education.
On September 23, 1974, she was united in marriage to Frank S. Miller. They moved to their home west of Kimmell in 1975. Mr. Miller died January 19, 1993.
She was employed at Weatherhead for 30 years, retiring March 31, 1999.
Her memberships include Wolf Lake Baptist Church.
Surviving relatives include six children, Antonette M. (Jesse) Rollins of Cromwell, Forrest R. (Trishia) Knisely Jr. of Disputanta, Virginia, a daughter, Melissa L. Stanley of Ligonier, Micheal S. (Mari) Miller of Kimmell, Gerald P. Miller of Kimmell and Vince A. (Marie) Miller of Waterloo; two step-sons, Barry (Jackie) Miller of Churubusco and Matt (Michelle) Miller of Huntertown; 26 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, James B. George of Nappanee; and six sisters, Florence I. Bush of Niles, Michigan, Beverly J. Konkle of Warsaw, Patricia J. Scanlon of Niles, Michigan, Phyllis A. Grice of Mishawaka, Dorothy D. Bentley of Kimmell and Harriet D. George of Niles, Michigan.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald George and Robert George and a sister, Norma Beadle.
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City with Pastor Dan Carlson, pastor of Wolf Lake Baptist Church, officiating. The burial will be in Wolf Lake Cemetery. The visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
