Alice M. (Snyder) Scheiber, 96, of Columbia City passed away Sunday, September 7, 2008, at Miller's Merry Manor in Columbia City.
She was born in Fort Wayne on June 5, 1912. Her formative years were spent in Fort Wayne as a member of St. Andrew's parish.

On August 6, 1928, she was married to Herman R. Scheiber. They spent their life together in Fort Wayne until Herman died January 24, 1990. She was employed with the Magnavox Company, retiring in 1973 after 37 years of service. She was a member of St. Henry's Catholic Church for 42 years.
Survivors include son Dr. Donald J. Scheiber of Columbia City; eight grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and eleven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband Herman, daughter Sr. Patricia M. Ann OSF on January 12, 2008; three brothers and four sisters.
Service is 10:30am Wednesday at St. Henry's Catholic Church,

with calling one hour prior. Fr. Daniel Durkin officiating. Calling also 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30pm Tuesday at D.O. McComb & Sons Foster Park Funeral Home,

6301 Fairfield Avenue

with Rosary at 7:00pm. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
