Audrey E. Thompson, 92, formerly of Huntington, died at 3:18 p.m. Thursday, September 4, 2008, at Parkview Whitley Hospital.
Mrs. Thompson was born September 19, 1915, in Huntington to Edward and Mary Young Teusch. Her parents preceded her in death.
Mrs. Thompson graduated from Huntington High School in 1933. She was a former employee of Our Sunday Visitor, D. Marx and Sons Clothing Store and she worked as a clerk in the Huntington Township Assessor’s office.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a former member of the Jaycee Wives.
Survivors include a son, James E. (Pamela M.) Thompson, Columbia City, a grandson, Andrew J. Thompson, and a granddaughter, Anne M. Rentschler. She is also survived by a great-granddaughter, Baily M. Rentschler, also of Columbia City.
She was preceded her in death by a brother, Wilbur Teusch, and three sisters, Isabell Morris, Helen Gearhart and Virginia Worthen.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, September 8, 2008, at the McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, September 9, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 903 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington
Memorials in Mrs. Thomspon’s name may be given to Huntington Catholic Schools or Love Inc. in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN 46750.
