Timothy S. Archer, 52, of Loon Lake, died at 10:20 p.m. Friday, August 29, 2008, at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne where he was admitted on August 17.
He was born January 3, 1956, in Fort Wayne a son of Howard W. and Verlo A. (Parker) Archer. His formative years were spent at Big Lake and he graduated from Central Noble High School.
On September 2, 1989, he married Linda L. Esterline. They have always made their home at Loon Lake.
He retired in February 2008 from Dana Corp. in Syracuse with 30 years of service and was a member of the UAW Local #1405 in Syracuse.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Linda; a son, Scott Christopher Archer, at home; a sister, Carolyn (Rev. Erwin) Kostizen of Highland, Michigan; a brother, Thomas (Phyllis) Archer of Huntertown; his in-laws, Ray & Judy Esterline of Loon Lake; a brother-in-law, John Esterline of Loon Lake; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 6, 2008, at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City with Pastor Tim Kumfer, pastor of Big Lake Church of God, officiating. The burial will be in Thorn Cemetery, Ormas. The visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
