Wayne C. Collinsworth, Sr., 62, of Wolf Lake, died at 10:08 Sunday, October 19, 2008 at his home.
He was born September 25, 1946, in Luckey Hospital, Wolf Lake, the son of Robert C. and Rolena Mae (Oliver) Collinsworth. A resident of Wolf Lake most of his life, he completed his education at Wolf Lake High School.
He was employed for the past 23 years at Chain-o-Lakes State Park.
Surviving relatives include his children, Curt Collinsworth of Albion, Sherri Collinsworth Luke of Larwill, DeaDea (Cory) Gibson of Huntington, Nikki Collinsworth Johnson of Shelbyville, Brent Collinsworth of South Whitley, Mandy Collinsworth of Kentucky and Tracy Collinsworth of Albion; 15 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a sister, Patricia K. Gipson of Churubusco.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The visitation will be from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.
A service of remembrance and carry-in meal will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2008, at Smith & Sons Coach Room,
