Francis “Fritz” R. Weber, 87

Francis “Fritz” R. Weber, 87, a resident of Albion, Indiana died suddenly on Saturday November 29, 2008, in the North Ridge Village Nursing Home in Albion.
Fritz was born July 6, 1921, in Jefferson, Ohio a son of the late Melvin Russell and Mytle (Hower) Weber. As a young child he moved with his family to Wolcottville, Indiana, where he graduated from Wolcottville High School with the class of 1940. He later served his country during WWII with the US Navy. After his tour of duty with the Navy; he worked for the International Harvester Company as a welder for 20 years and also was a farmer.
He is survived by his children, John M. Weber of Albion, Anita M. (Tim) Noland of Churubusco and three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Weber, on November 8, 2008, in Haines, Alaska, an infant grandson, John Weber, a brother, Howard Weber, and his sister, Berdean Young.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday December 2, 2008, at 5 p.m. in the Sheets and Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco with Pastor Timothy Grable officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3 p.m. until service time. The US Navy Honors Unit will render military honors at the conclusion of the service in the funeral home.
