Connie “Sue” Glessner of Avilla went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, January 27, 2009.
Born March 26, 1934, in Willshire, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Marie (Topp) McBride.
She was united in marriage to Philip H. Glessner on May 10, 1952 for a loving 57 years together; he survives.
Also surviving are her children, Alan (Valerie) Glessner of Avilla, Greg (Windi) Glessner of Battle Creek, Michigan and Colleen (Wade) James of Churubusco; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Marge Opliger; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service is 4 p.m. Friday at Midwest Cremation Society & Memorial Chapel, 4602 Newaygo Road, Fort Wayne, where family will also greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Memorials to Parkview Home Health & Hospice, 1836 Ida Red Road, Kendallville, IN 46755.
