Frona Alberta Cochren, 90, of Fort Wayne, died Thursday, January 15, 2009, at her home.

Born in Churubusco, she was a cook with Fort Wayne Community Schools for 15 years, retiring in 1978. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 499 Auxiliary and V.F.W. Post 2457 Auxiliary.

Survivors include her daughters, Sandra K. (Ron) Hettinger, Karen S. (Robert) Hettinger and Nancy A. (Arthur) Brock, all of Fort Wayne; stepson, Lawrence J. Cochren of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and sister, Esther Violet Blessing of Fort Wayne.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur J. Cochren, in 2005; brothers, Perry and Jesse Jeffries; and sister, Clara J. Reinking.

Service is 10 a.m. Monday at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home,

1320 E. Dupont Road

. Rev. Stephen Cain officiating. Calling is from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial in Eel River Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
