Rhonda R. Kinchen, 44, of Fort Wayne, passed away quietly Friday, January 2, 2009, at Parkview Hospital.

She was a valued employee of the Fort Wayne YWCA for 25 years and was a kind and wonderful friend to many people.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Kinchen Jr.; a son, Robert Dimitri Kinchen; a daughter, Sydni Nicole Kinchen; her mother, Mattie Irby; brothers, Antone (Janice) Wilson of Evansville, Indiana, and James C. Irby; a sister, Toni L. Irby; her mother-in-law, Barbara A. Kinchen of Baltimore, Maryland; her father-in-law, Robert Kinchen Sr. of Baltimore, Maryland; a brother-in-law, Gregory W. (Phyllis) Jones of Vallejo, California; a sister-in-law, Delodier Kinchen of Baltimore, Maryland; and a host of loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, James I. Irby; and grandparents, Richard and Audrey Woods Sr.; and James and Beulah Rogan.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lighthouse Deliverance Cathedral, 1315 S. Hanna Street. Calling is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ellis Funeral Home, 1021 E. Lewis Street. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
