Wade Steven Himes, 34, of Pierceton died on Friday, January 2, 2009 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born on April 30, 1974, in Columbia City, he was the son of Lee A. and Marcia M. (Mishler) Himes.

He attended Whitko High School graduating with the Class of 1992. He worked in the construction industry for 16 years specializing in the building of water towers. He was currently employed with Southwest Aquastore working in the Phoenix, Arizona area. Raised in Whitley County, he has been a resident of Kosciusko County for the last 13 years.

Survivors include his 2 daughters, Hannah and Shayla Himes of Pierceton; brother, Travis "TJ" (Amanda) Himes of Columbia City; and mother, Marcia M. Himes of Fort Wayne.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lee A. Himes.

Visitation is Tuesday, January 6, 2009 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, Columbia City. Funeral service is at 2 p.m. Tuesday immediately following visitation with Pastor Jeremy Wike of Community of Hope Church officiating. Burial will follow at South Whitley Cemetery.

Memorials may be given in memory of Mr. Himes to Hannah & Shayla Himes Educational Fund or the Alzheimer's Association with envelopes available at the funeral home.
