June A. Long, 93, of Cleveland Township, died Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at her home.
She was born June 2, 1915 in Whitley County, a daughter of John and Lesta (Tschantz) Goff. Her formative years were spent in Cleveland Township. 
On November 22, 1942, she was united in marriage to Beryl W. Long. They made their home on a farm in Columbia Township before moving to their home in Cleveland Township. Mr. Long died June 5, 2000.
She was employed at Blue Bell and Baxters 5 & 10 Dime Store in South Whitley. She also assisted her husband with the farming and raising black Angus cattle. June loved being outdoors, mowing grass and gardening.
Her memberships included South Whitley Church of God, Whitley County Farm Bureau and Indiana Angus Association.
Surviving relatives include a son, Daniel (Barbara) Long of South Whitley; two grandchildren, Tim (Laura) Long of South Whitley and Annette (Kevin) Kinnison of Fort Wayne; five great-grandchildren, Hali Kessie-Long, Nicholas Whitmyer, Kenzie Kinnison, Drew Long and Karlee Kinnison; and a sister, Janice Goff of North Manchester.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ora Goff, Charles Goff, Lee Goff and Erie Goff; and a sister, Neva Hatton.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Smith & Sons Miller Chapel, South Whitley with Rev. Jim Martin officiating. The burial will be in South Whitley Cemetery. The visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
