Vincent J. Masbaum, 84, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at Canterbury Nursing & Rehabilitation in Fort Wayne.
Born in Fort Wayne, he was an inspector with Zollner Corporation for 37 years, retiring in 1980.
He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and Lions Club. He enjoyed antique cars, gardening, and his china collection.
He is survived by his nieces, Sharon (Al) Sarrazine of Hoffman Estates, Illinois, Rosemarie (Ray) Fearnow and Rita (Carl) Chalk, both of Columbia City; a cousin, Bernadette Plumanns of Fort Wayne; several great-great-great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph H. and Helen M. Kassens Masbaum; brothers, Joseph and Eugene Masbaum; and a sister, Mary (Herman) Bobay.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Jude Catholic Church, E. State Blvd. at Randallia Drive, with calling one hour prior. Fr. Tony Steinacker officiating. Calling also from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
