Ralph M. Glick, 57, of rural Columbia City, died at 4:12 a.m. Saturday, August 15, 2009 in the emergency room at Parkview Whitley Hospital.
He was born January 2, 1952, in Tyler, Texas, a son of Irvin and June Louise (Roykowski) Glick Jr. At the age of 3, his family moved to Sandusky, Ohio. As a senior, his family moved to Fort Wayne where he graduated from Snider High School in 1970.
On August 12, 1972, he was united in marriage to Paula S. Swincher. They made their home in Fort Wayne and spent the last 15 years residing Whitley County.
He has been employed at Brandeis Machinery & Supply for the past 18 years, currently as parts manager. He also worked for Scott’s Foods in Fort Wayne as a meat cutter for more than 12 years.
He had attended First Church of God.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Paula; two children, Mercy (Rick) Bowling of Big Lake and James Glick of Columbia City; six grandchildren, Jacob Bowling, Parker Glick, Dylan Glick, Hailey Schultz, Cody Schultz and Joseph Parker; and a sister, Linda Glick of Maplewood, Minnesota.
His parents preceded him in death.
The funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City with visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorials contributions may be made to Riley Children’s Hospital.
