Fordus “Clee” Jagger, 86, of Columbia City, passed away at 8:10 p.m. on Thursday, December 26, 2009, at Renaissance Village Nursing Home. 
Born on October 3, 1923 in Smith Township, he was the son of Harry and Ethel (Shively) Jagger. He attended Columbia City High School.
He was a Whitley County resident all of his life with the exception of his time in the service. A Navy veteran of World War II, Clee was a Seaman, 1st Class, serving aboard the USS Wisconsin.
On January 30, 1971, he married Marilyn Kennedy-Egloff at Larwill Methodist Church.
He worked 31 years at Dana, retiring in 1987. He was a member of the Blue River Church of the Brethren, Columbia City Eagles Lodge #1906 and the American Legion, Churubusco.
Survivors include his four step-children, Karen (Kurt) Wolfe, Michael Egloff, Kathy (Rick) Maggart and Lynn (Bruce) Coyle all of Columbia City; four sisters, Ruby Sherman, Ellen (Matthew) Henney, Marge Mowrey and Ardith (Ray) Cormany all of Columbia City; a brother, Guy (Shirley) Jagger of Columbia City; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Marilyn Jagger on February 23, 2006, and sister, Joann Prater.
Visitation is on Monday, December 28, 2009, from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, IN. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home with Pastor Craig Myers officiating, burial to follow at Blue River Cemetery. Graveside military honors will be conducted by the Whitley County Korean War Veterans.
Memorials may be given in memory of Mr. Jagger to Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home or The Blue River Church of the Brethren.
