Dixie Mullins, 78, of Columbia City, passed away at 3:19 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2010 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. 
Born on July 1, 1931, in Floyd County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Johnie D. and Maxie Rhode (Lawson) Caudill.
She moved from Kentucky to Huntington in 1957, later moving to Columbia City in 1960.
On June 30, 1947, she married Glines Mullins in Floyd County, Kentucky, who passed away March, 1981.
She was a waitress, cook and bartender at Bamboo Lounge, Wonder Bar, Hallway, 10 Pen, Billy Goat Tavern and Moose Lodge. She was an avid coffee drinker, loved people and helping people, cooking and cleaning fish.
Survivors include her 4 children, Sundra "Sunni" (Stephen) Watson of Columbia City; Debra Lynn (Micheal Strifler) Mullins of Columbia City; Jeffrey Glen (Sheila) Mullins of Columbia City; Marty Johneine (Todd) Clingerman of Columbia City; 3 grandchildren, Travis E. (Heather Civiletto) Grunawalt of Columbia City; S. Wesley Watson of Fort Wayne and Grady L. Clingerman of Columbia City; 1 step-grandson, Christopher Strifler of Columbia City; 2 great-grandchildren, Cole Civiletto of Columbia City and infant girl due in April; 6 brothers & sisters, Jack Caudill of Mount Vernon, Illinois; Dorothy Hand of Eden, North Carolina; Mary Hamilton of London, Kentucky; Maudie Osborne of Hi Hat, Kentucky; Benjamin Caudill of Prestonburg, Kentucky; Jimmie Caudill of Columbus, Missouri; several beloved nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Glines Mullins, daughter, Donna Maxine Mullins; brothers, Johnie "Jr." Caudill, Edword, Ralph, Audrey and Robert Andrew Caudill.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 from 2-7 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at the funeral home with Funeral Celebrant, Eddie J. Beagles, Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Greenhill Cemetery, Columbia City. Memorial gifts may be given in memory of Mrs. Mullins to the American Heart, Stroke and Lung Association, Whitley County Humane Society or Black Pine Animal Park. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
