Betty F. Miller, 86
Betty F. Miller, 86, formerly of Columbia City, died Wednesday evening, May 12, 2010 at Berkley Nursing & Rehab in Oak Park, Illinois.
She was born March 23, 1924 in Detroit, Michigan a daughter of John F. and Amelia “Milly” (Illinik) Moore. She graduated as Salutatorian from Warren High School.
Her first husband, Frank H. Oettel, preceded her in death.
Her second marriage was to Walter H. Miller. After their retirement, they moved to Florida. Following Mr. Miller’s death, she moved to Columbia City to live with her daughter, Trisha Roberts.
She was an executive secretary at Warner Lambert, retiring in 1984.
Surviving relatives include five children, Donald Oettel, Kathleen (Kent) Warner, Pamela (Kathy Lach) Oettel, Trisha (Tim) Roberts and Janene (Mike Lorei) Oettel; 12 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Oettel; a granddaughter; and a brother, Jack Moore.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Oak Park, Illinois.
