Jimmie L. Stansell, 65, of Bessemer, Alabama, died at 7:45 a.m. Saturday, May 8, 2010.
He was born December 11, 1944 in Anniston, Alabama a son of R.V. and Ethel E. (Laney) Stansell. His formative years were spent in Alabama.
During the Vietnam War, he served in the United States Marine Corps.
A truck driver, his last employment was with CFI Trucking.
Surviving relatives include two children, Rev. Charles V. Stansell and Kama J. (Dave) Friend, both of Columbia City; five grandchildren; a sister, Brenda Myers of Columbia City; a half brother, Ernest Stansell of Oxford, Alabama; and a half sister, Betty Ruth Watts of Talladega, Alabama.
