Wanda Wiley, 89

Wanda Wiley, 89, a resident of Oak Pointe formerly of South Whitley, died at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at Miller’s Merry Manor, Columbia City where she was admitted in March.
She was born December 28, 1920 in Noble County, Indiana a daughter of John and Alice (Adair) Kettlebar. Her formative years were spent in western Noble County. She graduated from Ligonier High School in 1939.
On February 9, 1940, she married Frank P. Wiley. They made their home in Ligonier until 1964 when they moved to Fort Wayne. In December 1967 they moved to South Whitley. Mr. Wiley died March 14, 1993.
She started her employment with Essex Wire Corp in Ligonier then Haag Drug Co. in Fort Wayne. After moving to South Whitley, she worked part-time for Stumps Printing.
Her memberships included United Methodist Church of South Whitley.
She is survived by one daughter, Dawn A. Wiley, Fort Wayne; two sons, Randall J. Wiley, Fleming Island, FL and Douglas F. Wiley, South Whitley; two grandsons; two great grandsons; two sisters, Mildred Kettlebar, Ligonier and Mary Rex, Port Royal, SC.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister Cloha Glaser and three half brothers, William T. Kettlebar, Calvin Kettlebar and Alvin Kettlebar
The funeral service will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday at Smith & Sons Miller Chapel, South Whitley with visitation from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in the South Whitley Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to Salvation Army or Parkview Whitley Home Health and Hospice.
