Fred A. Riddle, 58

Fred A. Riddle, 58, of Noble Township, Noble County, died Thursday evening, July 29, 2010 at his home.
He was born January 27, 1952 in Columbia City, Indiana a son of Stanley James and Mary Catherine (Cox) Riddle. A lifelong resident of Noble Township, he graduated from Central Noble High School.
On November 27, 1976 he was united in marriage to Mariann Metzger.
In addition to farming, he drove truck for North American Van Lines and later Salesman Trucking.
He was very active and supportive of St. Matthews United Methodist Church and its many activities, Wolf Lake Lions Club, Mizpah Shrine and Christian Chapel Cemetery Association Board. He was an associate of Whitley County Soil & Water Conservation District, assisted with Boy Scouts of America and a member of Churubusco Lodge #515 F. & A. M. He supported and enjoyed attending the Wolf Lake Alumni Class Reunions, Whitley County 4-H Fair & its museum, Wolf Lake Onion Days, Sugar Grove Church of God ice cream socials, Central Noble F.F.A. and his childrens' various activities.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Mariann; three children, Julie Riddle, Kevin Riddle and Jody Riddle; and a brother, John (Sharon) Riddle, all of Albion.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Roy Riddle.
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. The burial will be in Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam.
Preferred memorials are to St. Matthews United Methodist Church or Boy Scouts of America.
