Juanita S. Mueller, 88
Juanita S. Mueller, 88, of Columbia City, died at 7:00 a.m. Monday, August 30, 2010 at Heritage Park Nursing Home, Fort Wayne where she had been a resident for the past 2 years.
She was born December 14, 1921 in Allen County, Indiana a daughter of John and Celeste (Bubb) Gibson. Her formative years were spent in Fort Wayne where she attended Catholic Schools.
On July 18, 1942 she was united in marriage to Christian “Chris” H. Mueller. They made their home in Fort Wayne. In 1954 they moved to Tri-Lakes and later to a farm in Thorncreek Twp where they resided for thirty years. In 1987 they moved to Witmer Lake near Wolcottville. Mr. Mueller, her husband of 53 years, died in 1996. In 2004, she moved to Waterloo.
A full-time homemaker, she raised three sons, Richard (Kay) Mueller, Denver, CO, Ronald (Vicki) Mueller, Shell Knob, MO and Larry Mueller, Valley Park, MO. Additional surviving family includes, three grandchildren, Michelle Mueller, Cheryl Mueller, Randy Mueller and three great-grandchildren, Sophie Mueller, Kobe Mueller and Brady Mueller.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings, John Gibson, Elmer Gibson and Melatine Gibson.
The funeral service was held at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. Burial was in South Park Cemetery.
