Clarence A. Bodas, 73
Clarence A. Bodas, 73, of Fort Wayne, died at 11:35 p.m. Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at his home.
He was born August 4, 1937 in Gilbert, Minnesota a son of Arthur W. and Turna (Harju) Bodas. His formative years were spent in Gilbert, graduating from Gilbert High School.
He was employed at U.S. Steel in Gilbert for 18 years, Essex in Columbia City for three years, Vandenburg Air Force Base in California for five years and Kimberly-Clark in Knoxville, Tennessee for 11 years, retiring in August 2009.
On September 13, 1987 he was united in marriage to Gerry L. (Conley) Clark. They made their home in Clinton, Tennessee until August 2009 when they moved to Fort Wayne. Mrs. Bodas died June 18, 2010.
A U.S. Navy veteran, he was a member of Columbia City Pentecostal Church of God.
Surviving relatives include four step children, Diane (Dave) Ryman of Atwood, Cindy (Dorsey) Simmons of Fort Wayne, David (Cynthia) Clark of Etna Green and Douglas Clark of Fort Wayne; five step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; three sisters, Irene Ishmael of Marana AZ, Sandra Wells of Gilbert MN and Connie Bodas of Winona MN; and two brothers, Gerald Bodas of Palo MN and Jack Bodas of New Plymouth ID.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Bodas.
The graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Etna Green Cemetery with Bourbon American Legion Post #412 presenting military honors.
Preferred memorials are to Parkview Home Health & Hospice.
