Thelma L. Jacobs, 90
Thelma L. Jacobs, 90, of South Whitley, died Monday morning, November 22, 2010 at her home.
She was born March 6, 1920 in Kosciusko County, Indiana a daughter of James Jacob and Lena Belle (Crim) Aughinbaugh. As a young girl, her family moved to South Whitley. She completed her education at South Whitley High School.
She was employed at Blue Bell for a period of time.
On November 7, 1936 she was united in marriage to Walter Jacobs. They made their home in Gary for a year, South Whitley for four years, North Manchester and later Laketon before moving to a farm east of South Whitley in 1947. In 1968 they moved into South Whitley. Mr. Jacobs died April 5, 1992.
Surviving relatives include a son, Larry Jacobs of Columbia City.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, James Aughinbaugh Jr.
The graveside service will be held at 12 Noon Friday at South Whitley Cemetery.
