Gloria A. Ruckman, 77
Gloria A. Ruckman, 77, of Churubusco, Ind. passed away on December 30, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at The Oaks, Columbia City. 
Born on October 29, 1933 in Huntington County, IN, she was the daughter of Ernest and Helen (Allen) Routt.
She has been a resident of Whitley County, IN since1951. She attended Arcola High School. On December 25, 1951, she married Duane E. Ruckman. While Mrs. Ruckman worked for 9 years at Dana Churubusco, she spent most of her working years raising her 4 children and 10 grandchildren.
She was an active member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Congregation of Columbia City.
Survivors include her husband, Duane E. Ruckman of Churubusco, IN; 4 children, Penny L. (Marvin) Olson of Elkhart, IN, David D. (Teresa Brown) Ruckman of Churubusco, IN, Bryan R. (Gwynne) Ruckman and Rachel A. Mix both of Columbia City; former daughter-in-law, Teri Ruckman; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Everett "Bud" Routt; and 3 sisters, Helen Vaughn, Ernestine Keller, and Margaret Routt.
Visitation with the family is from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2011 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, IN. Funeral service will follow the visitation hours at 3:00 p.m. with Marvin Olson officiating. Burial will be private.
