Columbia City cross country teams have big night

The Columbia City cross country teams hosted a three-way meet Tuesday night against New Haven and Garrett. The girls placed first in the meet, while the boys finished in second place behind New Haven.
In the girls race, junior Renee Menzie won the race with a 21:58 time. Alongside Menzie was Laken Lefever completing the race at 21:59. Eagle junior Samantha Engle ended in 4th place and a time of 22:46. Freshman Carlee Hearld finished out the top 5 with a fifth place position and a time of 22:46.
The boys' race saw two Columbia City runners in the top 5, as David Potter was first for the team and completed the course in third place at 18:46. Junior Trevor Maggard followed behind Potter with a 18:50 time and a fourth place finish. Rounding out the top 10 was Eagle runner Adam Benard at 19:17 and an 8th place spot.
