Churubusco vs. West Noble
The Eagles got off to a slow start in Friday night's contest between the West Noble Chargers, but pulled it together in the second half to escape with a 28-6 victory.
Trailing 6-0 at half because of 4 fumbles in the first half, 'Busco came out to play for the second half of the game. 'Busco running back Kyle Mathewson rumbled for 164 yards and 2 touchdowns, for the game, to help the Eagles with the win.
The Eagles continue their undefeated season as they compete in their second of three straight home games on Friday night against Bowman Academy at 7:30 pm.
Columbia City at New Haven
The slippery, wet conditions of the field didn't help the play of the Eagles against New Haven as the Columbia City Eagles fell to the Bulldogs 31-15.
Columbia City struggled to find an effective offense as they gave up two safeties. The defense also struggled to bring down New Haven running back Frank Lloyd as he hauled in 200 yards of rushing, giving the Bulldogs a big boost.
The Eagles are back home next Friday to host the East Noble Knights at 7 pm.
