Wildcats remain undefeated in conference play

The Whitko tennis team continued their winning streak on Thursday night with a close 3-2 win over TRC rival Manchester.
In No. 1 singles, Whitko’s Kurt Boggs loss to Manchester’s Kyle Lahman 6-4, 6-0. The Wildcats got on the winning side of the court at No. 2 singles as Alex Winger defeated Squire Erik Hand 6-3, 6-2.
Adding another win to the Wildcat side was Josh Larocque at No. 3 singles with a 7-5, 6-1 victory over Jacob Kincaid.
Manchester tied up the match with a win at No. 1 doubles as Squires’ Andy Dockter and Austin Gidley beat the Whitko duo of Anthony Habermann and Tyler Noragon in a close 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 match.
Rounding out the night was the Wildcat pair of Nathan Sherrard and Tyler Murphy beating the Manchester duo of Aaron Johnson and Jared Christiansen 6-4, 6-1 at No. 2 doubles.
Whitko improves their record to 3-5 on the season, remaining undefeated in conference play 2-0. The Wildcats are back on the courts on Saturday in the Knox Invitational
